It’s all about the dads.

This time over at the Digi Galore the theme is “Fathers Day”, and our sponsors are the fabulous Kenny K with the lucky winner picking 5 of their cool digis.

I used Remote Control Digi, and coloured him using Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I then VERY CAREFULLY cut him out, my word my hand and fingers were sore after this lol. I used papers from the Britannia kit by Sarah Hurley to add lots of colour. I finished it off using my Sizzix Corner Die and a wee sentiment from Lili of The Valley.

Ingredients
Papers – Britannia Digi Kit by Sarah Hurley
Coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers

Stars in our eyes.

It’s time for a new challenge over at Digi Sketch Challenges, and the theme is “Stargazing” and anyone who knows me will know how much I LOVE stars, so much so I even have a tattoo of them. This time we are sponsored by LEJ Designs and the lucky winner will get 4 digis of their choice. As always there is a sketch too, and I followed it with my card.

I used the Sentiment sheet and made a starry birthday card.  For my backing paper I really was spoiled for choice, but in the end opted for a teal starry one from Scrap Basics Christmas Stars digi papers pack from Sarah Hurley, because stars are for life not just for Christmas.  To give the card some texture I used a starry embossing folder and some Tim Holtz Kraft Core paper, and die cut some stars using Sizzix Framelits. I popped the sentiment on some 1mm foam to give the card some dimension.

Ingredients
Star papers from Sarah Hurley
Star embossing folder,Tim Holtz Kraft Core paper
Sizzix Star Framelits.

I hope you can join us this time, and we look forward to seeing your creations.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges;
CAS on Sundays – Make it masculine
Brown Sugar – Masculine birhday
Creative Corner  – Boy oh boy
Paper Crafting Journey – Masculine

Biker Chick.

Hello again, lots of blog posts this week, and this time it’s to tell everyone about a new challenge over at the Digi Galore Challenge Blog. And this time Louise has drew up a funky wee sketch for us to play with.  We are sponsored by the fabulous The Paper Shelter with a $20 voucher for their online store as the prize.

I chose to use “Undetected” On The Routes, and coloured her with my favourite MOTO GP riders colours of blue and yellow. For those of you unfamiliar with MOTO GP, the rider is Valentino Rossi and he is an amazing rider! Colouring her was rather tricky as the digi is very detailed, but thanks to fine tips for Promarkers and LOTS of patience I finished her and I love her.

Ingredients
Spotty Stripey Paper from Secret Rose Garden
Coloured with Flexmarkers and Promarkers
Memento ink
Sentiment and dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps
Spellbinders die, XCut corner punch
Ribbon and blue papers from stash.

I hope you can pop over and join us this time, we look forward to seeing your creations.xx

I would like to enter her into the following challenges;
Oldie but a Goodie – Inspired by a song- “Born to Be Wild”(Something 6 months old, ribbon)
Papertake Weekly Challenge – The Sound of Music – The song “Born To Be Wild”
Challenges 4 Everybody – Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine – Anything but a square with hand coloured image.
The Corrosive Challenges – Sentiment on the front.
Crafty Catz – Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday – Something Blue
The Paper Shelter – Anything Goes.

Shades of blue.

Is the theme over at the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog this month, and I am always amazed at how many different creations we come up with for a theme, but especially when it is a monochrome one.

I chose to make a card using different blue papers, and made my theme the sky.  I took the gingham paper from Oz, and made it my base layer. Used some gorgeous polka dot papers from Secret Rose Garden and die cut them to be wee hot air balloons, this is one of my favourite dies as it makes me think of floating away to Oz. My sentiment “Enjoy the Journey” comes from the Expedition kit.  I also managed to play with this months A Few of My Favourite Things Kit, which is full of gorgeous cloudy papers, bright coloured papers, journalling cards and stamps. I used one of the stamps on my cloud die cut, and I love the result.

Ingredients
Gingham paper – Oz
Polka dot paper – Secret Rose Garden
Enjoy the Journey sentiment – Expedition
Perfect Day Stamp – A Few Of My Favourite Things Kit
Hot air balloon and cloud dies.
Blue pearlised card, white card and card base from stash
Baskets on hot air balloon coloured with a flexmarker.

We also have lots of exciting creations in the third edition of Lookbook, why not have a browse?

I really hope you can join us this month, and don’t be blue about it if you can’t 🙂

I would also like to enter the following challenges;
As You Like It – Dies
Southern Girls Challenge – Say that again
Crafting For All Seasons – Monochromatic
Stampavie and More – Lots of Die Cuts
Word Art Wednesday – Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments – The Letter B(Balloons & Blue)
Die Cuttin Divas – Anything Goes
Love to Create – Dies
Glitter N Sparkle – White & One other colour.
